The post holder is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team undertaking high quality mammography examinations in the symptomatic breast referral services for University Hospitals Birmingham NHSFT. Duties will be undertaken at Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals. The post holder has responsibility for the assistant practitioners and radiographic helper staff and in addition the post holder will participate in the training for other members of the team in all aspects of digital mammography, standard image guided interventional procedures, and digital imaging.
Here at University Hospitals Birmingham Breast Services, we need a motivated, full-time (37.5 hours) Band 6 Radiographer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. Successful applicants must have the Post Grad Award in Mammography, a Radiography Degree or equivalent, and current HCPC Registration.
Our team is responsible for providing a symptomatic service across Solihull and Sutton Coldfield. The post is for cross site working based at Solihull and Good Hope breast units. Our fully digital service enables us to provide a consistently high standard of Breast imaging.
Please note that this is not a training post and applicants must have the Post graduate award in mammography (or older equivalent) plus experience of working in Breast Screening and symptomatic Breast Services.
