Position Summary
This position will be responsible for independently directing the work of PIOC (Person in our Care) in the production of Custom Signage products. The Correctional Enterprises Specialist - Senior will work with PIOC workers, office administration, inside and outside sales staff, vendors, quality control, and customers; while adhering to Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions (DAI), and Bureau of Correctional Enterprises (BCE) policies and procedures. The Correctional Enterprises Specialist - Senior will also manage inventories; manage production costs; oversee shop health and safety; utilize all Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems in their manufacturing facility and work closely with the supervisor to develop and implement new products. In addition, this position will be required to perform installation of some of the interior and exterior signage products offered by BCE.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 03-14 with a starting pay of $25.09. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period of one year is required.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Shift: Monday- Friday 6:00AM-4:30PM
Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
* Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) for deliveries and installations at customer work sites.
* Must possess a valid driver's license and will be required to meet State of Wisconsin fleet requirements. Employees will be required to maintain a valid driver's license and eligibility to drive a fleet vehicle.
* Must possess or obtain (within a year from appointment) a Class B Commercial Driver’s License and maintain license during employment.
Minimally Qualified Applicants Will Have Experience
* Creating products in a factory, industrial, mechanical, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing or fabrication atmosphere.
* Using software from the Microsoft Office Suite (such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
* Using ERP/MRP Software and graphic design programs (such as: Oracle, NetSuite, SAP Illustrator, Flexi Design, Sign Cad, etc.).
* Leading or directing the work of other staff members in a role such as: team lead, project/shift manager, supervisor, or shop specialist, etc.
