The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
The post holder will be an experienced clinical pharmacist with specialist knowledge and highly developed interpersonal skills, who will act as lead pharmacist for Cancer Services within the Trust. To provide a clinically orientated pharmacy service to healthcare professionals and patients with complex medical and pharmaceutical needs.
Main duties of the job
1. Act as first point of contact for clinical practitioners, management personnel and other healthcare professionals in matters relating to Cancer Services and the procurement of outsourced SACT.
2. Lead on pharmacy aspects relating to implementation and maintenance of the e-chemotherapy prescribing system.
3. Support commissioning processes relating to externally commissioned cancer medicines.
4. Ensure compliance of self and team members with medicines legislation, policies and procedures including those relating to the specialist areas.
5. Ensure a safe, legal and timely supply of medication to patients.
6. Work independently, liaising closely with the other Pharmacist Team Leaders, Principal Pharmacists, Chief Pharmacist and Chief Technicians.
7. Positively influence cost effective prescribing.
8. Assist in the development of clinical guidelines, protocols and Patient Group Directions (PGDs) relating to the specialist areas.
9. Professionally support the Principal Pharmacists when required.
10. Be responsible for planning and provision of clinical pharmacy and medicines management for cancer services to ensure timely delivery of services.
11. Be professionally accountable for his/her own practice and for that of others in his/her field of practice.

Person Specification
* MPharm or equivalent
* GPhC registered
* RPS member
* Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification
* Recent UK post registration experience of pharmacy practice
* Recent post registration experience of Hospital pharmacy practice
