Casual, as required
Uffculme School would like to expand our current team of casual invigilators.
The role will suit those looking for a flexible, casual position. The majority of hours are worked through the summer exam sessions, in May and June each year, although some invigilator support is also needed with mock exams at other times of the year.
We are looking for individuals who can be flexible, patient and are able to stand for periods of time. Exams are timetabled throughout the day, but the majority are for part of the day – either morning or afternoon. From time to time, invigilation is needed for exams that take place at alternative venues, off the school premises.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and excellent communication skills, be a team player and have strong empathy skills. Previous experience is not required, as full training will be provided.
Uffculme School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
As part of our due diligence process when shortlisting, we may carry out an online search of publicly available material to identify any incidents or issues which we might want to explore with the applicant at interview.
CVs are not accepted; please complete the online application in full.
If you have any questions prior to completing your application, please contact our Exams Officer, Mrs Tracy Sapiecha via the school office.
