We are recruiting an Information Security & Compliance Manager, who will have a high degree of responsibility for Information Security and Compliance processes at the NIHR BioResource. A large part of the role consists of working on cyber security requirements for the NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit.

About the job:
A key deliverable for this role is the demonstrable implementation of the various applicable Information Security and Compliance tools and policies, along with completion of system audits, vulnerability scanning and other related exercises.
About you:
Your duties will include:
1. Information Security – Security Operations / Incident Response
2. Audit & Compliance – Best practice / Overseeing NHS DSP Toolkit / Cyber Essentials Plus / ISO 27001 applications
3. Communication & Policy – User Awareness / Policy compliance
4. Phishing Simulation Exercises
5. Vulnerability scanning and other systems testing
Your experience should include:
1. NHS Data Security & Protection (DSP) Toolkit / Cyber Essentials (Plus) compliance
2. Working in healthcare / life sciences / clinical research, handling sensitive data and communicating compliance with various staff groups
3. Using IT tools to monitor compliance, which can be a mixture of in-house, vendor-supplied and public cloud services

The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a funding cycle. It was announced last year that NIHR BioResource will receive new funding over the next 4 years.
Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre).
