Birmingham City Council is looking for a committed, enthusiastic, and dynamic leader that can develop our best-in-class digital mail service to the council and our external customers. We are looking for someone who aspires to deliver consistently high-quality production and customer services and will deliver and instil confidence in the quality and responsiveness of our services.
The Digital Mail Centre provides a one-stop solution for digital mail and scanning solutions for Birmingham City Council and other public and private organisations. We hold a C9 Licence (volume driven wholesale price) with Royal Mail delivering low-cost postage for BCC and our partners. Our services include:
* Inbound mail processing service. Mail collected from Royal Mail distribution centre, sorted, opened, and digitised on the day of receipt. Instant access to mail with a full audit trail.
* Hybrid Mail (Press to Post) and bulk print service. Letters are sent electronically to Digital Mail, automatically printed, fulfilled, and taken to Royal Mail.
* Digitisation of archive documents.
* Cheques posted to the council are processed, scanned, and banked.
* Verification of original documents and returned to the sender. Documents are digitised and are immediately available for uploading into bespoke systems.
As the ideal candidate, you will have industry experience of leading and growing a similar business, commercial business acumen, a keen eye for technological innovation, and value for money.
