We are seeking a manager to oversee the daily operational needs for the children’s home, ensuring high-quality and care provisions meet the required standards under OFSTED and children’s home regulations. You will be working closely with relevant departments to ensure high standards of support is delivered using a multi-agency approach. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the challenges that the role involves but also understands the rewards that comes along with it. You will also require to have: Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing an OSTED home. Hold a level 5 in leadership for health and social care or equivalent in children and young people services. Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000) and regulatory frameworks such as OFSTED and reg.44 visits. Strong leadership skills with a capacity to inspire and motivate others. Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to: Supervise and manage a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care services Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and managing any documentation relating to the child’s progress, incidents and safeguarding concerns/referrals. Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with regulations Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care Maintain a safe and supportive environment for each child. Manage administrative tasks related to the children’s home operations Proficiency in managing staff and overseeing day-to-day operations Conduct regular audits in compliance with regulatory standards and identify any areas of improvement.
