PCAS Kent offer support, county wide, to individuals living in supported living locations, as well as in their own homes within the community, who are diagnosed with having a learning disability or mental health.

The Role
No two days are the same and you will deliver person-centred support to this gentleman, whilst promoting his independence, and helping to achieve his goals and aspirations. Some tasks involved in the role will include:
* Good understanding of autism, including the ability to recognise non-verbal communication cues.
* Experience in epilepsy.
* Experience in working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
* Physically active, including able to walk up to 5 miles during a single activity session.
* Clear communication skills.
* Confident swimmer.
* Calm demeanor.
* Good sense of humour.
* Able to work under your own initiative, but also as part of a small team.
* Patient.
* Able to follow set activity planners, whilst also being flexible in approach.
About you
Experience would be beneficial for this role due to the needs of this gentleman, but full training will be provided. Successful candidates should be able to work within a team, as well as on your own, be hard-working and passionate, whilst showing empathy to others.
