Reporting to the UK B2B Pricing Manager you will be responsible for maximising revenue for a multi-million-pound portfolio of B2B customers by optimising pricing and managing availability.
The successful candidate will ideally have had prior Revenue Management experience as well as vans experience within either the rental or leasing market.
The role requires excellent commercial awareness and strong analysis based decision making capabilities together with effective communication and stakeholder management.
They will be an excellent communicator and confident in making and accepting responsibility for decisions that impact the wider business.
The role will include a focus on project work related to the van segment, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver on specific pricing and business objectives.
Main Objectives:
Help to deliver UK RPU target in line with RCM objectives
Produce rates for new and existing business using clear approach
Achieve rate consistency using clear rate logic with cohesive rate actions
Support the RCM approach to simplification and standardisation for pricing across the business
Support V&T BU with specific pricing actions to help deliver the 5-year plan
Ad hoc support for yielding activity as required
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to acquire customer and market insights to assist in executing all professional rate renegotiations
Execute all rate renegotiations by adjusting pricing to optimise revenue with the aim to exceed minimum profitability and key KPIs set out in the top-level strategy and service line objectives
Ensure all rate renegotiations are aligned to segment standards and tracked regularly
Coordinate the alignment of activities across departments (Corporate Sales, Sales Support, Controlling and Marketing) and continually apply revenue management practices to improve business profitability
Bi-annual review of Professional segment standards for ancillary pricing and SLAs
Analyse and implement strategic yielding activity to optimise revenue by channel, duration, fleet and customer mix within a predefined best practice framework
Ensure that forecasted volume, RPD and revenue is achieved in line with availability
Participate as a key stakeholder in wider projects for pricing related topics
Control the governance and auditing of any system data (product / contracts) containing rates or pricing
Deliver future RCM developments of pricing processes, tools and systems
Support the wider business with any pricing and data queries
Recommend and implement changes to current processes to improve efficiency
Key Skills Required:
High level of commercial awareness with Van specific experience
Understanding of demand and supply within a market
Revenue Management and/or Pricing experience
Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen
Ability to summarise analysis concisely using different mediums to illustrate key points
Strong presentation skills to all levels of management
Proven effective stakeholder management with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables, vlookups required)
Attention to details and organisational skills are a must
Quick learner, flexible and reactive to a changing environment and role over time
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively to meet tight deadlines and maintain a high standard of work
