The last couple of years have seen Linaker grow exponentially, and 2024 is no exception. Our client base continues to grow month by month. As a result, we are now looking for a talented Gas Engineer to join us on our upward journey.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
1. Completing PPM works to schedule in the most proactive and efficient way possible.
2. Notifying issues to the helpdesk and seeking advice from the contract manager where possible.
3. Producing thorough quotes with researched methodology, including correct parts and labour times to ensure profitability, cost control, and client satisfaction.
4. Diagnosing breakdowns effectively and repairing equipment in a timely manner.
5. Recording and documenting all work carried out and raising appropriate documentation such as quotes.
6. Working in accordance with health, safety, compliance, and environmental requirements.
7. Liaising with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
8. Maintaining site log books.
9. Ensuring compliance and health and safety on site.
10. Communicating and liaising with clients and the helpdesk.
11. Providing excellent customer service to our varied client base.
12. Ensuring equipment, tools, parts, and company assets are calibrated, maintained, and properly looked after.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Demonstrated 2-5 years of industry experience and qualification in the following areas:
* Essential: City & Guilds COCN1 (Core Gas Safety), CCN1, CDGA1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CPA1, CENWAT, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A.
* Nice to have: CKR1, CCCN1, HTR1, CORT1, Legionella Awareness & Training, Asbestos Awareness, PASMA, IPAF.
Technically competent, commercially aware, with a strong understanding of health and safety. Good written and numerical skills, comfortable with Microsoft Office. Exceptional customer interaction skills, quick thinking, and confident communication. A natural problem solver who thrives under pressure, stays calm, and demonstrates empathy. Strong relationship management skills, self-motivated, team-oriented, and flexible to travel with a valid UK driving license.
