It is a global team with staff in London, New York, Dublin and Pune. • The Financial Control Team is responsible for the maintenance and control over Insight’s books and records. In addition, they are responsible for key finance functions such as capital and liquidity management, regulatory reporting, management of the corporate banking relationships, month-end close processes and the preparation of the annual statutory accounts. • The Financial Analysis Team is responsible for analysing Insight’s financials and presenting them clearly to Insight’s senior management, providing commercial insights to support informed business and strategic decisions. The team cover AUM (Assets Under Management) reporting, revenue/costs P&L, annual budget & ongoing forecasts, Management Information (MI) production, invoicing and fee commercial control/analysis. • The Finance Change Team drives Finance’s change agenda, delivering new outputs, enhancing processes, reducing operational risks, and supporting finance systems development. Position Description: Role Overview: An exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a London based finance team, to help us achieve our change/transformation initiatives, take a proactive role in process enhancement / value add / improvement and provide functional and analytical support to the Financial Analysis team and the wider Finance function. Role Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the Financial Analysis Team include: - P&L reporting and analysis - Quarterly forecast working alongside key divisional business executives / leads - Initiatives and projects support - Management Information for senior executives & board, supporting insights that align to our business strategy - Perform the annual budgeting process - Perform profitability analysis creating thought provoking insights to executives for themes / trends on our business performance - Provide ad-hoc analysis to assist management decisions - BNY Group reporting - Initiatives and projects support - Support the change agenda with automation of activities into Anaplan or Tableau including providing requirements and aiding testing Individual responsibilities and duties include: - A key role in the UK team to support P&L management / analysis, for the UK and globally - P&L reporting and analysis o Run the segregated revenue accrual process and present on a monthly basis to the senior members of the finance team o Run the Performance fee model and produce MI reports o Transfer Revenue – understand process and ensure accurate reporting consistent with revenue share agreements o Work with key individuals (both internal and external) to ensure accuracy and completeness of P&L accruals o Work with all global Finance teams to analyse and review the monthly P&L and produce commentary o Produce monthly MI and commentary which provides context and enriches understanding for CFO and Executive Committee o Support the CFO with ad hoc analysis o Support in the quarterly forecasting and annual planning rounds, working with the wider business o Provide support for the annual external audit Interact with BNY Group where appropriate to explain P&L variances o Liaise with BNY accounts payable team to ensure accurate coding and timely payment of invoices - Innovation o Active involvement in change initiative projects across the team (Anaplan and/or Tableau) o Have a strong process focus to ensure spreadsheets are well controlled and clear o Be proactive in analysing Insight’s P&L and suggesting areas for improvement o Data improvement and cleansing to allow automation o Embrace technology and drive the MI forwards - General o Collaborate and work with analysts in UK, US, Ireland and India global teams o Business partner with senior department heads to drive through change in our control and reporting o Deal with frequent ad hoc requests for additional analysis to be presented at board o Exposure to confidential information Experience Required: - Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent experience - Strong academic background - Financial Services / Asset Management background preferred - Direct or transferrable experience relating to content of the role accountabilities - Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills - Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc) - Attention to detail - Business delivery of change projects in financial systems - Anaplan and Tableau experience preferable Personal qualities: - Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to learn - Analytical and questioning mindset - Motivated and organised - Ability to work independently - Team player - Accountability and ownership of allocated deliverables Insight is committed to being an inclusive employer and encourages applications from all suitably qualified applicants irrespective of background, circumstances, age, disability, gender identity, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or other factors protected by federal, state and/or local laws.
