This is an exciting time at bpha as we introduce our in-house maintenance service for the first time in our 30+ year history. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for excellent customer service and are eager to grow this new service and seize its opportunities.
As a carpenter, your responsibilities will include:
* Having relevant training, experience, and trade skills to perform a wide range of carpentry repairs within our customers’ homes.
* Diagnosing repair needs accurately and completing work to a high standard of quality.
* Delivering services on a rota basis.
What you will be doing:
* Providing a service that understands customer needs and achieves positive outcomes.
* Following all policies, procedures, systems, and training requirements, including record keeping.
* Participating in training, toolbox talks, appraisals, and other work-related events, embracing opportunities for growth.
* Ensuring all company-owned properties are properly maintained, cared for, and fit for purpose.
* Maintaining professionalism, courtesy, empathy, adaptability, and taking pride and ownership in your work.
* Resolving problems effectively, delivering high-quality repairs, and ensuring excellent customer experiences.
We’d love to meet someone with:
* GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
* NVQ Level 2 or higher in Carpentry.
* Excellent knowledge and experience in domestic carpentry and joinery, with proven diagnostic and repair skills.
* Good health and safety awareness.
* A strong commitment to customer service excellence.
* IT skills for basic tasks on computers or handheld devices.
* Experience and knowledge in other construction trades, capable of delivering repairs outside your core trade when needed.
* Knowledge and experience in at least one other construction trade to an intermediate level.
