We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse to join our growing team, initially based in our Plymouth facilities but we have an ambition to expand into a new Dental Education Practice (DEP) in Plymouth City Centre in the next few years. The DEP will provide an innovative model of care comprising urgent and stabilisation dental care, and general and specialist dentistry delivered alongside placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as trainees undertaking dental foundation training. To support our growing team and the opening of the DEP, we are looking for a Dental Nurse to work 3 days per week on a 38 week contract, with a starting salary pro-rata to £27,855. Based on the contract available, the actual pay is as follows (payment for holiday entitlement is included): 3 days, 22.5 hours, working 38 weeks per year the salary is £13,988.85 per annum. Role: Dental Nurse Grade: Band 4 Reports to: Clinic Team Leader Role summary: The role holder will support the provision of primary care dentistry on our undergraduate student clinics as well as providing chairside assistance to our general dental practitioners. Staff on 52 week contracts must take the majority of their annual leave allocation outside of term time. Requests for annual leave within term-time will only be granted if the functioning of the clinics will not be compromised. Plymouth-based Dental Nurses will be routinely required to work across both Plymouth sites and may occasionally be required to work in Exeter or Truro. Exeter and Truro based staff will routinely be based in one site and may occasionally be required to work in any of the other sites.
