Pickstock supply high quality British beef to wholesalers, food service professionals, and retailers across the UK and international trade. At our site at Pickstock Telford, we slaughter, process and despatch the produce out to internal and external customers. This role will be working alongside an active Abattoir, during the process of slaughtering and de-boning cattle. This role will be based in cold environment. As an integral part of the food supply chain there has never been a more exciting time to join Pickstock Purpose of the Role Reporting to our Food Service Manager, the successful candidate will have a working week of Monday - Friday 7.00am 4.30pm: Standard hourly rate of between - £11.44ph - £15.00ph Regular opportunities for overtime paid at time and a half Previous experience: The essential experience to be successful within the position are. Previous experience working within a food manufacturing environment Have a basic understanding of quality control, manual handling & food safety Good communication skills Responsibilities will include: Ensuring product is labelled and packed into the correct boxes in line with customer specification. Gaining specific product knowledge to bag different cuts of meat across several packing lines. Using OCM machinery to create labels for the finished product before it goes to Despatch. Using the Vakpac machine ensuring product is sealed correctly ready for Despatch. Using dicing machine. Working on burger line. Working on steaks line. Ensuring quality is always maintained. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop through the skill levels of the business, with internal training and development.
