Position Summary This position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and evaluation for STERIS' domestic and international transportation suppliers, security programs and related policies and procedures. The position provides value through effective sourcing of transportation and compliance partners who provide on time, damage free services that are cost effective and support regulatory compliance with various government agencies all of which provide both internal and external Customers product. This position also resolves day to day transportation issues as they arise, effectively “Customer Service” to both STERIS’ internal and external Customers relating to worldwide transportation and logistical challenges. Duties Rate and service negotiations with Less Than Truckload, Full Truck Load, Small Parcel, Courier, Air and Sea transport providers of STERIS and it’s entities. Maintain and update STERIS security procedures relating to international and domestic transportation. Execute a regular review of carriers and to ensure compliance to STERIS regulatory and service level standards. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement. Review and update current standards to ensure optimal shipment size, mode of transport and carrier selection is appropriate to meet varying delivery requirements. Establish criteria for both internal and external audit of freight and related services invoices, ensuring billing / shipping costs are correct as contractually agreed. Work with internal stakeholders to address and resolve transportation related issues. Remain current with industry trends and market conditions and develop strategies to navigate such changes. Duties - cont'd Obtain carrier Proof of Delivery documentation as requested. Tracking & Tracing of international & domestic shipments as requested. Obtain quotations from Freight Carriers when required. Troubleshooting related to transportation and delivery of goods to or from STERIS or STERIS supplier / vendor facilities. 13. Record keeping as required. 14. Assist the Logistics Management in the evaluation of STERIS Domestic & International Transportation suppliers. 15. Special projects / any other tasks as assigned by the Company. Education Degree Bachelor's Degree Required Experience Bachelor's degree in business or transportation related field 2. At least four 5 years prior experience in a Domestic and International Transportation function. 3. Exceptional MS Office skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams. 4. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers and vendors. 5. Demonstrated excellent decision making, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. 6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced demanding environment with constantly shifting priorities.
