Special Needs Teacher (Primary)

Working hours: Monday - Friday, term time only
Unique School Solutions are supporting a specialist school in Rotherham who are needing a primary SEND teacher ASAP. You will be expected to plan, deliver and assess schemes of work for children in EYFS and Key Stage 1, all of whom have Autism (low functioning through to high functioning) and Pathological Demand Avoidance. You will lead classes of approx 6/7 children, and be supported by at least 6 Teaching Assistants, if not more. The role is to start ASAP, until July 2025.

Essential requirements for the role:
1. Previous experience working with children and adults with Autism (ASD)
2. PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
3. Ability to plan, deliver and assess schemes of work in line with the SEND Code of Practice and National Curriculum standards
4. The ability to work with other staff such as Teaching Assistants, Senior Leadership and Special Needs Coordinator
