We are looking to recruit a level 3 teaching assistant for a school in Penn, Wolverhampton City Council, to start after Easter until July. The role is full time working 8.30-3.30pm daily. You will be supporting a year 6 class as they work towards SATs. The ideal candidate will have experience in the below: - Used teacher assessment data to customise interventions and best help children with learning difficulties. - Organised classroom spaces and materials to help teacher prepare for lessons. - Monitored social interactions and modelled positive choices to improve connections and reduce conflicts. - Prepared indoor and outdoor spaces for recreational activities to support children's physical health and development. - Updated class records with attendance and grades for assignments, projects, and examinations. - Supervised children during activities and play, helping maintain safety and proactively address behavioural problems. - Prepared classrooms for lessons by setting workspaces, distributing teaching material, and loading presentations onto interactive whiteboards. - Assisted teachers in effectively managing class behaviour, using positive reinforcement and rewards schemes. - Helped teachers plan engaging activities and create level-appropriate teaching materials. - Assisted the music teacher with school choir as part of an after school club activity. - Maintained safe, clean and organised classroom environment. - Updated parents and carers with tailored feedback and progress reports. Qualification and Skills Level 3 qualification relating to Education / Child Care or degree.
