Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is part of the Medical Devices division. Our Witney facility is a Global Centre of Excellence for the manufacture of medical devices and produces innovative blood glucose monitoring systems for people with Diabetes.
Within R&D we have an exciting opportunity for a Statistical Programmer to join a team at the forefront of diabetes care innovation. The opportunity is based in our purpose-built facility in Witney, West Oxfordshire, or from our Maidenhead offices. Your varied role will be to provide statistical programming support to assist in the development and improvement of products including laboratory and clinical trials. Specific duties will include:
1. Providing programming support to clinical studies and R&D product development.
2. Supporting, developing and validating software using the System Life Cycle (SLC).
3. Establishing systems for data access, reporting and analysis.
4. Supporting the development of other junior programmers in the team.
You must have an organised approach to your work, with excellent attention to detail. The role will involve collaborating with different people within the department. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and team-working skills, in addition to your knowledge and experience of SAS programming. A demonstrated knowledge of statistical techniques is preferable.
You are likely to have a BSc (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics or Computing. As you will be working closely with colleagues from R&D, clinical, data management and regulatory affairs, this role will be office-based long-term, reflecting our collaborative style and ways of working.
