Do you have experience in assessing treatment work capacity and want to contribute to developing investment plans? Join our Wastewater Asset Strategy & Planning team in a varied technical role assessing current and future compliance risks at wastewater treatment works. You’ll play a pivotal role in forming the future investment plan for addressing capacity shortfalls at wastewater treatment works as part of our Growth programme of investment. You’ll do this by: Completing analyses and modelling of treatment work performance and capacity. Providing responses to internal and external stakeholder queries on treatment work performance and capacity. Providing expert wastewater process support to the wider Wastewater Asset Strategy & Planning teams, to facilitate optimal investment decision making. Taking a strategic overview of wastewater processes technologies and keeping abreast of future legislation changes, technologies and developments in the water industry. Being responsible for collecting and analysing treatment works data as part of regulatory annual reporting. About You We’re looking for a self-motivated and technically minded individual with expertise in the field of wastewater treatment processes, with a background in process science or engineering. You will be able to demonstrate: Significant wastewater process science or engineering experience is essential/ Asset management experience, Investment Planning experience, experience of water and wastewater or infrastructure industries. Engineering experience of other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical & ICA) is advantageous. Experience in modelling techniques and clear technical application desirable. Ability to assess multiple sources of information, recognise uncertainty and identify preferred courses of action. Demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-motivation. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Falmer office and home although remote working is also an option.
