Job Purpose
Within IT Technical Operations, the Technical Services team provides critical technical resources and expertise to maintain business and platform infrastructure.
You will take a senior role in infrastructure builds, automation, and deployment to deliver scalable, production-ready environments. Key skills include automation, scalability, network architecture, monitoring, management, and security in NSX, AWS, and VMWare.
You will also create and maintain documentation of client networks and systems for internal teams. We seek individuals familiar with various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, capable of supporting escalated support tickets.
Job Duties
* Provide technical support for Betfred Group network and server infrastructure.
* Plan and implement infrastructure projects, including creating project plans, designing, and implementing solutions.
* Design and implement automation solutions for deployment, upgrades, and operations of application stacks, reusable across projects.
* Act as a technical resource in business projects, providing documentation to aid delivery.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on server and network topology, equipment, and configurations.
* Work with Security and Compliance teams to ensure application stacks are hardened against malicious attacks.
* Serve as a technical escalation point, ensuring incidents are acknowledged promptly per SLA.
* Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call support as needed.
* Perform system administration duties such as server installation, patch management, Windows troubleshooting, log analysis, etc.
* Diagnose and resolve network issues using available tools.
* Provide infrastructure services across storage networking, OS, security, directory services, virtualization, backup, monitoring, and application configuration.
* Manage multiple workstreams including problem tickets, incidents, and projects, ensuring effective communication.
* Adhere to Betfred’s project, incident, and change management methodologies.
* Investigate emerging technologies, documenting and presenting benefits to management.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Support experience in server/infrastructure environments.
* Knowledge of Windows Server (2016 and later), CentOS Linux.
* Basic networking fundamentals.
* Management of Windows server roles (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Clustering, IIS).
* Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware ESX/NSX, Nutanix).
* Strong AWS skills (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
* Experience with IAC/orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
* Hardware build and installation experience (HP, IBM, Dell, Lenovo).
* Monitoring tools knowledge (Zabbix, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Nagios).
* IT support experience in dynamic environments, following ITIL practices.
* Knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI-DSS is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and customer management skills.
* Full driving license.
