Project Manager - Electrically Biased
Location: London
Salary: £65,000 + £5K car allowance
We are looking for a strong electrically biased project manager looking to develop their skills within a progressive environment, ideally from the Air Conditioning/Chiller Industries. The role involves providing leadership, management, and development of project opportunities within the location. You will ensure projects are secured and then delivered to meet time and budget requirements while exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities and in delivering contractual commitments on secured projects.
2. Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of projects are exploited to deliver increased turnover and profitability.
3. Deliver projects to completion on time and on budget, exceeding expectations wherever possible.
4. Identify, reduce, and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial, or otherwise) associated with each project.
5. Ensure compliance with project management policies and procedures.
6. Provide healthy and safe working conditions, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies across all activities.
7. Build strong relationships with sub-contractors to deliver cost-effective solutions that meet quality expectations.
8. Collaborate with other operational managers to develop the projects business through effective teamwork.
9. Develop project financial plans for revenue and profit delivery.
10. Ensure positive cash flow through upfront agreement of relevant payments.
11. Manage project delivery within agreed budget requirements to maximize profit through cost reductions.
12. Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to meet statutory, policy, and contractual commitments.
13. Maintain a customer focus in all operational activities, fostering effective relationships with key client contacts.
14. Deliver effective business communication through various channels including management meetings and reports.
15. Support the sales process through solutions development and participation in presentations and consultations.
Accountabilities
1. Reporting to Senior Project Managers.
2. Accountable to functional heads and Senior Project Coordinator, as appropriate.
3. Day-to-day accountability to relevant client contacts.
4. Financial responsibility for the delivery of project commitments.
