About Us A multi-award-winning lifestyle family business with 18 stores across the South East, specialising in beautiful, inspiring gifts, cards and books for friends, family and your home - We are loved for our difference - We know that family matters - We understand the importance of work-life balance - We celebrate the joy of giving About You The most important aspect of this position is to have the ability to confidently create and lead a happy, engaged and motivated team As a Store Manager, you will preferably have at least two years of store management experience, an excellent track record and work ethic and a positive attitude, creating a welcoming environment for our customers and ensuring the smooth running of your store. Responsibilities - Ensure our outstanding Customer Service Standards are maintained - Take responsibility for reaching set financial targets and KPI’s without pressure selling - Adhere to and follow our policies and procedures - Ensure all rotas and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner - Maintain excellent product presentation and knowledge in line with our company standards - Follow good housekeeping principles by ensuring the store and staff areas are clean and tidy at all times - Attend and participate in all management training sessions - Maintain Health & Safety checks and compliance - Follow all security measures as a keyholder Always leading by example and with kindness Rewards and Benefits - competitive salary circa £28-30k, depending on experience - 4.5 days working week (for the same pay as working full-time) - every other weekend off - BUPA cover (after successful completion of 6 month probation period) - extra paid day off if the birthday falls on a working days - 30% staff discount - 30 days annual leave (increasing by a day for each year of service after 2 years in the next years entitlement, up to 35 days) - free car parking (after successful completion of 6 month probation period) Hours of Employment Extra hours over and above your regular hours of employment will be required from time to time to support the need of the business. Unlike many retail outlets, we do try to offer our staff a consistent rota. However, flexibility is needed with adequate notice. Please note that no holidays are permitted in September, November, and December for peak trading periods.
