Actual Salary from: £15,896 - £16,162 (Points 5-6)

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Colne Community School for a Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND Team.
We are seeking to recruit a proactive and forward-thinking member of staff to enrich the skills and experience already present in our SEND Team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, and diligent.
This post is for a fixed term for up to 5 years and is dependent on the funding available, based on specific student enrolment.

* This post is 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time) + 1 non-pupil day.
* The provisional working pattern for this role is 8:40am – 3:10pm Monday to Friday.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Aid the student(s) to learn as effectively as possible and to reach their full potential in whole class, group, or individual situations.
* Ensure the needs of new students are circulated to relevant staff.
* Contribute to reviews of the students’ progress.
We're looking for you if you have:
* GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
* Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
* Ability to resolve routine problems independently
