Responsibilities
Prepare and handle tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
Conduct routine and specialized histological techniques including embedding, sectioning, and staining.
Ensure the quality and validity of laboratory tests and results through meticulous protocols.
Maintain documentation and records of specimen processing and analysis.
Collaborate with pathologists to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses.
Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff and students within the lab.
Participate in quality control and assurance activities to uphold lab standards and improve processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
Current certification as an Anatomical Pathology Technologist or equivalent recognized credential.
Proven experience in an anatomical pathology laboratory setting.
Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work meticulously under pressure.
Effective communication skills for interaction with medical staff and patients.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £22.37
