What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with the energy, passion and creativity to work as a Sports Coach in the Primary phase of our thriving All-Through school. This is currently a fixed-term contract until July 2025. The successful candidate will be required to work from 11.30am-5.00pm Monday to Wednesday, term time only, and will have the ability to strengthen and enrich the PE offer and be instrumental on delivering new school wide initiatives across the primary phase.
The Role
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver PE and games lessons, support extracurricular activities after school, assist with the development of play leaders on the playground by promoting more active play at lunchtimes and complete necessary admin, stock checks and equipment orders. The role will also involve support with attending off site fixtures for all year groups across KS1 and KS2.
You will:
• hold a full, clean UK driving licence and be willing to undertake in-house mini bus training
• you will be required to drive pupils to and from off site fixtures in one of the school minibuses
• be suitably qualified for the post of sports coach i.e. have sports coaching qualifications
• be a skilled and competent professional who is enthusiastic and totally committed to the ethos of the School
• readily establish excellent relationships with both staff, pupils and parents
• possess drive, expertise and enthusiasm
• possess an optimistic and resilient style when faced with pressure
• be able to communicate well with children and young people, having an understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
