Key Responsibilities:
* Formulate strategies to drive sales in all segments to achieve Global Sales Office (GS) Asia’s budget and by doing so support the hotels in achieving theirs.
* Lead and direct sales efforts across all segments (including those of the appointed regional Global Sales Agent) but with particular focus on the Corporate, Group, Luxury and Entertainment segments.
* Champion the relationship between LHG and, Virtuoso, American Express FH&R and any other similar programs based in the region as and when they arise.
* Champion the performance of the LHG Couture program with a view to hitting all associated targets, ie agency recruitment & retention, program awareness, room night and revenue generation.
* Create and operate a system for assessing account management effectiveness, 80/20 principles in terms of time invested, develop processes to ensure effective targeting of new accounts, regularly swapping out with non-performing accounts.
* Coordinate sales activities in region including sales missions, sales blitzes, tradeshow attendance, organize and host sales trips for hotels to key target markets.
* Compile GSO Asia Weekly Flash report to be sent to all stakeholders showcasing the Team’s sales initiatives and productivity.
* Support with the roll out of the annual SIP plan to ensure maximum Team Member engagement.
* Execute initiatives for further improvement of regional processes.
* Establishes GSO annual budget and payroll for approval.
* Closely monitors and manages the all GSO Asia expenses with a view to maximizing sales initiatives within the set budget.
* Hires, trains and manages team members including counseling, coaching and discipline.
* Implement effective succession planning and talent development within the region.
* Solicit effective commercial partnerships for the hotels with particular focus on those in the region.
* Conduct any special projects as assigned by the Vice President – Sales.
Experience
* 8-10 years of work experience in similar leadership role in the region.
* A collaborative team player who focuses on organizational success, business performance and building strong relationships (internal and external).
* Takes an entrepreneurial approach to achieving targets.
* Be a confident and well-connected networker.
* Relevant hotel or hospitality experience within a similar organisation is required.
* Ability to travel locally and internationally (up to 30% of time travelling may be required).
Knowledge
* Wealth of knowledge and connections in the Corporate RFP, Groups, Consortia & TMCs, Entertainment and Luxury Travel markets.
* Good understanding of industry systems, procedures and best practices.
