Justice Resource Institute (JRI), in partnership with the Department of Youth Services (DYS), is currently looking for a Maintenance Worker/Custodian in Middleton, MA.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary: $20.00 per hour
This position is for a Maintenance Worker/Custodian within a secure program setting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Performs general cleaning and custodial/janitorial tasks within a locked juvenile facility.
* Responsible for daily cleaning, i.e. bathrooms, trash collection, buffing floors, cleaning windows, etc.
* Performs security checks of the building to ensure all doors are properly secure.
* Maintains an accurate daily inventory of all tools and equipment used daily.
* Adjust work schedule to meet needs of the program and ensure unit schedules are observed, especially during periods of inclement weather.
* Maintain high standards of professionalism by exhibiting pride and knowledge in performance.
* Follow all JRI and DYS Program Policies and Procedures.
* Other relate job duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
* Must be at least 21 yrs old.
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
* Professional experience in maintenance/custodial work.
* Adherence to standard preventative maintenance procedures.
* Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
* Must have a valid driver’s license.
* Authorized to work in the United States.
* Acceptable state/federal background checks.
