An opportunity has arisen in our Leamington office for an experienced Paralegal or Senior Secretary in our Property Department. The successful candidate will assist Fee Earners with a range of administrative tasks to support the Conveyancing process.

If you come to us direct (not through an agency) and pass your probation, you will receive a one-time bonus of £250 (gross pay).
Key Responsibilities:
* Opening new files
* Dealing with client enquiries and queries over the telephone and in person, and providing updates to clients and estate agents
* Keeping up to date with prospective clients
* Setting up files for completion
* Progressing files through to post-completion, file closing and progressing to archive
* Scanning, maintaining and preparing full attendance notes
* Updating LMS and Lender Exchange
* Submitting registrations and dealing with requisitions
* Working within the framework of CQS
* Scanning post and allocating to fee earners electronically and onto physical files
* Dealing with client and office ledgers
* Undertaking general administration tasks
* Attending Property Department meetings and Firm-wide meetings
* Proficiently using the Firm’s case management systems
* Updating estate agents and brokers
* First point of contact for incoming calls
* Undertaking any reasonable instructions made by Directors, Department Heads, Line Manager or Fee Earners.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a Residential Conveyancing department
* Sound understanding of the conveyancing process
* Knowledge of LMS and Lender Exchange
* Knowledge of Land Registry
* Excellent client care
* Sound interpersonal and communication skills
* Good organisation and administration skills
* Ability to be a team player
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Outlook, and case management systems (Tikit would be advantageous)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Motivated to learn and progress within the department
* Willingness to work at one of the other offices of the Firm from time to time
