Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Consultant to join our wonderful Corporate Benefits team within Benefex Financial Solutions – our broking arm of the business! This is an ideal progression step for those wanting to take the next step into broking consultancy. You will own a portfolio of customers, providing consultancy services on health benefits to understand customer needs, support renewals, and promote wellbeing initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Provide consultancy services on health benefits to a portfolio of mid to high value customers who will predominantly be based on our online flexible benefits platform - OneHub.
* Manage, retain, and grow corporate customers that span multiple service lines such as Private Medical Insurance, Health Cashplan, Dental, Health Assessments, EAPs etc.
* Contribute to profitable revenue growth across multiple services and the achievement of the Corporate Benefits’ team strategy, plans and targets.
* Build detailed knowledge of each customer account, their health & wellbeing/protection strategy/approach and decision makers to fully understand their aims, objectives and ambitions.
* Secure pre-strategy broking meetings, coordinating relevant product and service experts and stakeholders as required.
* Compile and lead high quality presentations and negotiations.
* Expand the level of business within existing services and expand the number of services per customer (cross sell).
* Ensure timely delivery of agreed services to the client in line with the Benefex project plan. This will involve working closely with Benefex Client Service Directors and Consultancy team members to deliver terms as required by the business. This may involve weekly project calls and attending and presenting at quarterly client meetings.
What are we looking for?
* Experience of the day-to-day management of Health benefit arrangements
* Proven successful track record of commercial delivery and business development of customers with Health benefits
* A knowledge and understanding of the corporate benefits environment, ideally with a career background in the administration of Health benefits
* Excellent customer relationship building and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to deliver annual and longer-term targets
* Able to recognise and ensure delivery of customer service excellence
* Good presentation skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Able to use own initiative
* Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
* Good time management skills and able to work to tight deadlines
* A team player
* A willingness to learn the art of influencing and to develop negotiation skills
* Good PC skills are essential (Zoom/Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
Nice to have:
* IF7 qualified, or working towards.
* Any other additional relevant industry qualifications would be considered
* Knowledge of Group Risk would be useful to the role
* Understanding of FCA procedures and requirements
* Experience dealing with:
o Flexible Benefits
o Compliance procedures
