Role Overview
Working alongside the Trading Manager, the Digital Trading Executive will drive sales, gross profit, and EBIT targets across our multichannel business, including digital channels and in-store devices. Collaborating with the Buying & Merchandising team, you'll ensure effective planning and execution of sales strategies, create weekly trading summaries, and provide daily updates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review weekly performance and propose actionable improvements.
2. Monitor daily sales to identify weaknesses and optimize stock availability.
3. Track, report, and recommend solutions for slow sellers and low margin items.
4. Plan and evaluate markdowns and promotional events aligned with brand strategy.
5. Coordinate product stories and features for mailers and website promotions.
6. Analyze store best sellers for targeted promotion.
7. Optimize merchandising rules to maximize sales.
8. Utilize data analysis tools like Content Square to enhance conversion rates.
9. Review performance data via Similar Web and other tools.
10. Collaborate with Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure a cohesive online range.
11. Refine merchandising activities based on traffic and sales data.
12. Report on key metrics such as stock availability, sell-through, margins, and returns.
13. Build relationships with divisional Buying & Merchandising teams.
14. Coordinate with Digital Marketing, Content, Social, and Copywriting teams.
15. Drive trading activities to meet planned targets.
16. Implement best practices and identify opportunities and threats.
Skills and Experience
* Strong numeracy and commercial awareness.
* Proficiency in Excel; SQL knowledge advantageous.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Highly organized with good prioritization and time management.
* Experience in sports/fashion retail is beneficial.
