I'm working with a truly fantastic organisation who are looking for an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join their successful Commercial team. With employee wellbeing at the heart of what my client does, this is a brilliant opportunity for a QS who is currently undertaking their studies.
About the role:
This role will support the Project Finance team with key responsibilities that include:
1. Comparing subcontractor prices with accuracy.
2. Assisting with the ordering of subcontractor services and materials.
3. Building relationships with suppliers to develop a robust and diverse supply chain.
4. Providing support to the Quantity Surveyor (QS) team in reconciling Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.
5. Attending site meetings and managing project changes while ensuring proper contract compliance.
6. Assisting with valuations and payment applications to clients.
7. Issuing subcontractor payment certificates and invoices.
8. Conducting take-offs and managing subcontractor package enquiries.
9. Ensuring all contract terms, notices, and confirmations are correctly applied.

Requirements:
1. Minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
2. Willingness to study towards a BSc in Quantity Surveying.
3. Strong interest in pursuing a career in construction.
4. Previous experience dealing with the public, either through employment or voluntary work.
5. Ability to work confidently under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Practical, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
7. Creative problem-solving skills.
8. Well-organised with excellent time management.
9. Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
10. Full driving licence (preferably clean).
