Further details about the role
We are looking to appoint a maternity cover at our school in a Y4 class – preferable start date Monday 9th December. However alternative start dates can be considered.
Our school has recently had an OFSTED inspection and although we cannot comment on the outcomes yet what we can say it was a positive experience. You will be welcomed into a school with strong structures in place such as the curriculum and planning, behaviour and ongoing CPD. You will also be working alongside a great teacher in the parallel Y4 class.
We are a two-form entry primary school with a dedicated team of staff who are warm and welcoming.In the last two years, we have introduced our Challenge Curriculum and are proud of the progress we’ve made by using Leading Literature as a gateway to learning.The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum and end of key stage 2 assessment expectations. The school teaches through Sounds Write, Talk for Writing, Talk for Reading and Can Do Maths, so experience of these schemes is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate.
