(Out of Home)
Since 2018, Islands Chocolate has been delivering the finest flavour, award-winning chocolate to some of the UK’s most esteemed Michelin-starred restaurants, bakeries, hotels, cafés, and retailers. With 4 Great Taste 2022 and 3 Academy of Chocolate awards, we are leading the new wave of the British chocolate scene.
Islands is a family-owned business that grows our own cocoa in the Caribbean and manages the whole process from start to finish, being in control of every stage.
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Account Manager (Out of Home) to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for managing and growing our key wholesale accounts, including wholesalers, coffee roasters, and foodservice clients. Over time, there will be an opportunity to expand responsibilities to include managing major end-user clients and other high-profile partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage and nurture relationships with key wholesale partners and coffee roasters, ensuring effective account management and driving growth.
2. Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize sales opportunities within the out-of-home sector.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for our foodservice clients, ensuring excellent service and fostering long-term partnerships.
4. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the wholesale and foodservice sectors.
5. Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and product development to align strategies and meet customer needs.
6. Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making.
7. Deliver presentations, proposals, and account reviews to key stakeholders to maintain and expand partnerships.
8. Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting on sales performance.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Proven experience in account management, preferably within the food and beverage industry or a related sector.
2. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
3. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
4. Experience managing wholesale accounts, coffee roasters, or foodservice clients is highly desirable.
5. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. A proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to identify and seize new business opportunities.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
1. Experience working with major end-user clients in retail, hospitality, or contract catering sectors is a plus.
2. Familiarity with the chocolate, confectionery, or specialty food industry.
3. 3-5 years experience within the food and beverage sector.
