An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global market leader as an Account Manager. In this role, you will develop and manage the existing install base of clients through relationship building and face-to-face engagement, while promoting products and solutions from the Emerson Measurement Solutions instrumentation portfolio in the North West of the UK.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Sales Targets and Forecasting
o Own and deliver the budget and target for assigned customer accounts
o Increase market share through targeted competitor displacement and building customer loyalty
o Forecast and maintain the opportunity funnel, updating business planning tools (CRM)
o Identify, develop, and lead application solutions
2. Team Collaboration
o Collaborate with existing instrument sales teams to ensure complete account coverage and knowledge sharing
o Maintain sales account and value creation plans to generate new opportunities
o Work with the Marketing Team to align messaging and customer needs
3. Market and Sales Strategy Execution
o Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the market and industry trends
o Understand customer strategies, industry legislation, and business needs
o Implement sales growth initiatives to ensure we remain the supplier of first choice
4. Customer Engagement
o Identify new contacts and actively engage with existing customers by promoting product features and applying best sales practices
o Build effective relationships to become a trusted advisor within accounts
o Utilize key account management skills to maximize customer-facing activities
Who you are:
We are seeking experienced sales professionals motivated by success and with a strong customer focus. Join Emerson as an Account Manager for our Measurement Solutions division and make a significant impact by growing opportunities within our customer install base.
For this role, you will need:
* Experience in direct consultative sales in a B2B environment
* A proven track record of securing new business within existing customers
* Experience in building long-term relationships with external clients
* Ability to develop successful internal cross-functional relationships within a matrix organization
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* A full clean driving license and the ability to travel to customer sites (approx. 3-4 days a week)
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Experience in the Process Automation Industry (advantageous)
* Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
* Understanding of product applications is essential, technical expertise is not required
