To provide a professional and effective Security Service tailored to meet the needs of Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
To maintain good order and prevent public disorder on all Trust sites.
The protection of patients, staff, contractors and visitors against acts of violence, aggression and abuse.
The protection of Trust property against loss, theft and damage.
The protection of property belonging to patients, staff, visitors and contractors against loss, theft and damage.
Main duties of the job
1. Answer all emergency telephone calls in courteous and professional manner.
2. Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) for all Trust sites.
3. Report identified faults in security systems to Estates Department.
4. Provide guidance and facilitate access to the CCTV system for the purpose of Police investigations.
5. Maintain CCTV logs in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.
6. Operate a secure key register.
7. Carry out regular patrols of the Trust car parks.
8. Instigate Police response to any suspicious incidents or offences.
9. Assist in regulating the movement of traffic and control the parking of vehicles on Trust property.
10. Maintain clear routes for emergency services.
11. Ensure security of cash collections from pay and display machines (up to a cash value of £3000).
12. Maintain security of hospital site and ensure all departments are secure and alarmed, where required.
13. Assist with the secure movement of cash, including money from vending machines, catering outlets, Fundraising and General Office.
14. Prevent loss of property and carry out preliminary investigations into losses to the Trust, staff and patients.
15. Deal with confrontational issues and violent/abusive visitors and patients.
16. Transfer deceased patients to the Mortuary.

Person Specification
Skills /Knowledge
* Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018
* Competent in the use of two-way radio
* Understanding of the Mental Health Act 2007
* Competent in the use of CCTV equipment
Experience
* Proven Security experience
* Experienced and trained in Restraint techniques
* Experience in NHS environment
Specific Job Requirement
* Able to work shifts over 24/7 period
* Ability to produce evidential written reports both handwritten and electronically
* Ability to prioritise incidents based on a dynamic risk assessment
* Ability to maintain an accurate pocket notebook
* Level of personal fitness that enables prolonged foot patrol and standing
