You’ll be responsible for:
1. Managing the construction delivery of MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety, and quality requirements.
2. Providing a high-quality, time-efficient, and profitable delivery with accountability for compliance, governance, assurance, managing teams of Construction employees.
3. Developing, building, and retaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure success of role.
4. Leading the construction of the MEP services and ensuring compliance with Mace standards.
5. Accountable for the construction aspects of the MEP services and management of the site environment, Programme, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Quality & Commissioning of the project.
6. Liaising and coordinating with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the Client, Consultants, Trade Contractors, and other team leaders.
7. Leading the deployment of project strategic plans in conjunction with the Mace operating framework and strategic priorities, such as Prefabrication (C2P), Commissioning and Safety.
8. Managing the Quality Assurance process, ensuring that a high level of installation quality is provided and that all trade contractors and consultants follow the agreed process.
9. Preparing and implementing delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuring key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics, and work sequencing are all properly considered.
10. Proactively identifying risk and the production of mitigation plans.
You’ll need to have:
1. An advanced knowledge of management process and technique to lead, manage and oversee the successful completion of the project.
2. An advanced knowledge of a technical trade (Building Services Engineering) including installation and testing methods, best practice, and prefabrication to allow supervision, planning, and quality control of packages or systems assigned to the individual.
3. Proficient knowledge of other technical trades, including basic installation techniques, prefabrication, and best practice to ensure consideration, collaboration and coordination with other systems and packages.
4. Proficient knowledge of construction builds elements, including sequencing and dependencies to ensure consideration, collaboration, and coordination with build elements.
5. Proficient knowledge of commercial management to assist the commercial teams with commercial control of packages.
6. Advanced knowledge of health, safety & welfare core elements such as working from height, electrical safety, fire safety, logistics and lifting.
7. Able to lead in pressurised situations, making decisions and offering concise direction.
