JOB PURPOSE
To work alongside the SEND Partnership Manager and SEND Assessment Manager to deliver an outstanding cross-college service coordinating high needs funding (HNF) assessments and the Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process including consultations, annual reviews and new requests.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
* At least 3 years’ experience of working with and assessing young people with SEND ideally in an educational setting
* Knowledge of SEND reforms, HNF and statutory EHCP processes
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
* Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage a complex workload effectively
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to adopt and use IT systems effectively
* Minimum Level 4 qualification or minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field
* Level 2 qualification in maths and English or equivalent
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Undertake robust HNF assessments and meet local authority deadlines when completing applications detailing individual needs and the provision required
* Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers and other involved professionals when undertaking HNF assessments
* Maintain detailed records of HNF assessments and EHCP annual reviews storing background reports centrally and confidentially in accordance with GDPR
* Coordinate the preparation of EHCP documentation and chair annual reviews
* Work closely with curriculum staff to ensure a consistency in the annual review processes and provide guidance in setting EHCP outcomes
* Liaise with Curriculum Heads and Deputies, ALS and other cross college staff to ensure there is full compliance with SEN Code of Practice including statutory timeframes
* Work with colleagues across the college to ensure we are providing necessary safeguarding support for students
