While prior experience is advantageous, it is not essential; we prioritize the right attitude and offer comprehensive on-the-job training. A valid driver's license is also beneficial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Goods Receiving & Inspection:
* Unload deliveries and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity.
* Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
* Inventory Management:
* Organize and maintain warehouse stock.
* Ensure items are stored safely and efficiently per company procedures.
* Order Picking & Packing:
* Accurately pick, pack, and label items for dispatch according to customer orders.
* Ensure the correct items are packed in the right quantities.
* Stock Control:
* Assist with stock-taking and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
* Report any stock shortages or overstock situations.
* Warehouse Organization:
* Maintain a tidy work environment by clearing rubbish and returning unused materials to their proper places.
* Ensure aisles are clear to promote safety and efficiency.
* Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with other warehouse operatives, supervisors, and managers to meet operational targets and deadlines.
* Shipping & Delivery Preparation:
* Prepare items for shipment, ensuring correct documentation is provided.
* Pack goods properly to avoid damage in transit.
* External Warehouse Coordination:
* Travel to our Chelmsford warehouse once a week to pick up goods and transport them to our London office.
* Heat Press Operation:
* Set up and operate heat press machines for various printing processes (e.g., vinyl transfer).
* Training will be provided for this task.
* Event Support:
* Assist at events and expos, which may occasionally occur over weekends.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license preferred.
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic computer skills.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
