Job Title: Mechanical Process Design Engineer

Salary: £42,000 to £48,000 p/a

Job Overview:
Are you passionate about decarbonisation & renewable energy? This role is predominantly based in our client's head office in Ellesmere Port.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge of ATEX and Mechanical design of systems for hazardous areas
2. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
3. Knowledge and experience of the design life cycles of a project
4. Awareness of the regulations and standards applicable to Mechanical/Process systems
5. Experience of working within the process, oil & gas, and petrochemical industry
Main Duties:
1. Attend in-house and client weekly meetings providing technical support to project managers
2. Liaison with clients and sub-suppliers of the technical delivery of the projects in conjunction with the Project PM
3. Undertaking design reviews and attending design review meetings
4. In-house manufacturing support based on produced design
5. Specifying project materials
Secondary Duties:
1. Manage, report and approve the delivery of project drawings and associated records
2. Attend project handover with the sales team if needed
3. Sales quote input if needed
4. Manage build queries for both the workshop and site work if needed
5. Communicate Good Practice to other projects with reference to the Performance Improvement Procedure
6. Responsible for their own health and safety and that of others and undertake the obligations as defined within the H&S Manual
7. Assist in the implementation of our clients’ Quality Assurance, Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures
What We Are Looking For: To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years’ experience within a Process Design role. Ideally, you will have a gas network background and an understanding of GL5/G17 processes. Also, beneficial if you have worked with hydrogen systems.
