Our client is currently recruiting for a Deputy Continuing Airworthiness Manager on a permanent basis in Oxfordshire.

Description/Overall purpose of the Job:
Deputise the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAMO Post Holder) in assigning duties and responsibilities of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) department. Primarily responsible for the day-to-day CAMO activities.
Main responsibilities
* Delegated authority for the oversight of all continuing airworthiness activity of the Oxford fleet as defined in the Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and associated procedures.
* Management of the CAMO team.
* Supporting the AHUK CAM in the discharge of their duties in accordance with the requirements of Part-CAMO / British Continuing Airworthiness Requirements (BCAR) and Isle of Man Aircraft Register (IOMAR) regulations.
* To ensure that all appropriate legislative and company procedures are adhered to in order to ensure continuing compliance with current regulatory requirements.
* Provide cross functional support with the CAMO team based at RAF Shawbury.
* Regular liaison with the AHUK CAM in order to ensure continuing compliance.
* Support the development of AHUK Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMP).
* Performance of airworthiness reviews to support recommendation / issue / extension of Airworthiness Reviews Certificates (ARC).
* Review and approval of variations to the AMPs.
* Support the airworthiness data review such as Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins and implementation actions.
* Respond to audit findings related to functional areas as required by the CAM.
* Ensuring that CAMO personnel are suitably qualified and authorised to perform their duties.
* Manage the capacities of the CAMO team.
* Develop reports as required in support of the fleet on behalf of operators.
* Perform any other such tasks as requested by the CAM in support of AHUK overall objectives.
Knowledge and Skills
* Good understanding of aircraft continuing airworthiness requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.
* Methodical with acute attention to detail.
* Self-motivated and able to work without supervision or as part of a team.
* Flexible work ethic focused on delivering against agreed timelines.
* Strong team leadership skills.
* Proactive - ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.
* Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Docs.
* Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for CAMO management.
Education, Qualifications or Training
* Experienced Part 66 licensed engineer or holding an appropriate aeronautical degree with a minimum of 5 year's experience in continued airworthiness management environment or
* 10 years' experience in continued airworthiness management environment if Part-66 license or aeronautical degree is not available.
* Acceptable as ARC Signatory to support the recommendation / issue / extension of ARC's.
* Aviation human factors training undertaken.
* Recognised Part CAMO Training Course accomplished.
* Recognised Part 145 Training Course accomplished.
Additional requirements
* Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance, be eligible for SC clearance and meet the requirements of Export Compliance Regulations.
