Arch Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an NDT Technician Level 2 for an Aerospace testing laboratory based in Warwickshire.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Apply testing techniques within the limitation of procedures prescribed by approved codes, standards, and specifications.
2. Derive and document procedures or inspection techniques for NDT Inspection to meet specific customer requirements.
3. Perform internal calibrations and process control checks of equipment.
4. Carry out pre and post inspections to ensure components are free from damage and FOD.
5. Conduct thorough pre and post cleaning using Vapour degreasing and/or solvent cleaning.
6. Maintain log sheets of incoming and outgoing work requests.
7. Ensure the work area is safe for carrying out NDT activities.
8. Evaluate and interpret results of the test in accordance with the applicable specification.
9. Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used and results of the test.
10. Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
11. Direct the work of trainees and assistants.
12. Monitor the serviceability and calibration status of equipment; report any defects or malfunctions to the Technical Director.
13. Liaise with onsite customers regarding priority work scopes and timing of work.
14. Carry out all work/tasks in accordance with Company and Regulatory requirements (HSE).
15. Seek assistance and advice from Manager/HSE/Level III where the requirements of the procedure cannot be met.
16. Undertake any other duties of reasonable nature as required by Management.
Role Requirements:
1. Qualified in the relevant methods PCN / ASNT / EN4179.
2. Aerospace industrial experience in the method.
3. Relevant eye test allowing for quality inspections.
4. Relevant NDT level 2 certification from an accredited institute.
5. Basic Microsoft and IT skills.
6. Previous work experience within a manufacturing facility and/or inspection process line.
7. Experience testing aircraft components using fluorescent MPI and Penetrant methods.
