On behalf of a growing accountancy practice we are recruiting for an Accounts Senior for the firm’s Oxford office. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working and flexible working options, that offers a good salary and benefits package, a supportive working environment and career development opportunities.
As Accounts Senior your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
* Working on a variety of interesting and complex accounts assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with seniors, manager and partners when required
* Developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge
* Ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard, in time and within budgets agreed with Directors
* Building long lasting client relationships
* Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations
* Managing own workload in a timely and efficient manner to exceed client expectations
* Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the team
* Build productive relationships with team members and colleagues, adopting a collaborative working approach
We welcome application from candidates with the following experience, skills and attributes:
* ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
* Minimum of 3 years UK practice experience
* University degree with a 2:1 or higher, or 3 good A-Level results
* Experience of FRS102 1A is essential
* Experience of SRAs, international accounts, consolidated accounts and/or charity accounts would be an advantage
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and client management skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Strong IT skills, specifically Excel, CCH, Sage and Xero and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
* A positive, confident and proactive attitude
* Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output
* Enjoy working as part of a team and be self-motivated
* Ability and desire to develop junior staff
