A market leading manufacturer of specialised equipment is currently looking to recruit a Design Engineer for their family-run business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take on more responsibility and become a Senior Design Engineer. Are you looking for a business that prioritises a healthy work/life balance? Role & Responsibilities:
The Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring efficient and successful assembly and testing of the special projects. Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the provision of efficient high-quality engineering design projects
2. Offering support and guidance to more junior members of the team
3. Checking/reviewing engineering analysis and design to standards
4. Assisting in mentoring and training the broader team
5. Supporting production during First Of Type (FOT) assemblies
6. Preparing, updating and compiling the latest assembly/build documentation (General assembly, sub-system assembly, schematics and build notes) and preparing a document pack prior to the start of the build
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a previous Mechanical Design Engineering position
- Worked in a manufacturing environment
- BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering or similar
