Job Title: CCTV/Security Engineer
Location: West London (Uxbridge/Slough) - Travel within the region and occasional overnight stays required
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (Interview to discuss hours/days of work)
Job Purpose:
To support in service activities, including installation and fault rectification, ensuring the Region is efficient and profitable by meeting customer expectations within agreed timescales. The role involves dealing with large-scale, high-end integrated surveillance control systems for diverse client bases, requiring flexibility, a 'can do' attitude, and occasional travel away from home.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide reliable, courteous, and efficient service.
2. Maintain a positive company image through high standards of dress and communication.
3. Close/update helpdesk after each service visit.
4. Ensure company vehicles are well-maintained.
5. Adhere to company Management Systems.
6. Assist with the call-out rota.
Field-Based Responsibilities:
1. Care, maintenance, and repair of complex Analogue and Digital CCTV Systems.
2. Care, maintenance, and repair of functional and managed control rooms.
3. Care, maintenance, and repair of multi-site Access Control Systems.
4. Support and maintain Perimeter Detection Systems.
5. Complete planned preventative maintenance.
6. Occasional nights away.
7. Assist with the call-out rota.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Sound knowledge of CCTV, IT, and PID Systems.
2. Sound knowledge of Access Control systems with Site Mustering.
3. Sound knowledge of DVR & NVR systems.
4. Desirable knowledge in areas such as PID’s, Galaxy Alarms, Cortech GUICEM Access Control, SynergyVideo, Matrix Systems, IP Systems, Networks, Raid Recording, and first-line repairs on Gates and Barriers.
5. Experience in CCTV, Auto Electricals, or Electronics.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Basic IT competence.
8. Desirable: Electrical qualification (NVQ, BTEC, or Apprentice trained).
9. Desirable: 5 GCSEs or equivalent, preferably in English, Maths, or Science.
10. Full UK driving license.
11. Relevant experience; knowledge of the bus industry, CCTV, or electrical is desirable.
12. Full training will be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £34,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
