This new and modern nursery, open for just six weeks, is rapidly growing and seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team. Our nursery caters to children aged 2-5 years, providing a nurturing environment that fosters holistic development, independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. Our bright and spacious, hall-based facility includes a beautiful outdoor space for the children to explore and enjoy.
This nursery is located just a 20 minute walk from Grays high street and has free parking on site.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To promote the aims and objectives of the nursery
2. To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
3. To assist the Manager in showing parents around the nursery facilities and sending out information
4. To ensure the provision of high standards of physical, personal, social and emotional care
5. To lead a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all times
6. To follow the nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure and ensure all team members are able to do the same
7. To assist the Manager in setting and implementing objectives and policies for the nursery
8. To assist with the planning and organisation of staffing schedules and holiday rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with Ofsted
9. To assist with the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record child development
10. To assist with the preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment
11. To be responsible for the health and safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness
12. To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
Qualifications & Skills Required:
13. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
14. Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification
15. 2 years experience in a leadership role
16. Strong understanding of child development principles and the ability to apply them in the Nursery.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
18. Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for working with young children.
19. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
