The structural division works across the commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare and residential sectors, alongside their civil engineering counterparts they have on-going demand for their high quality work which is delivered with it’s focus on quality, innovation and value for money. The practice was formed by two leading industry figures, they have used their experience of working in large consulting firms to provide a more agile and client focused service. As a member of their structural team this will mean that you are closely engaged in projects from conceptual stages through to completion. You will work alongside the structural director who will provide on-the job training and mentorship towards incorporation or chartership. Under his guidance you will design projects using steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and your technical skills will improve and evolve. You will work closely with clients, make regular site visits and collaborate frequently with your in-house civil engineering colleagues. In the process you will develop the properly rounded design and delivery experience needed to progress your career and accelerate your progression towards professional qualification. Your Profile: You should ideally have a 2:1 degree, or above in structural or civil engineering, plus two or more years design experience with a focus on building or civil structures. A willingness to learn and progress is vital, you will be joining a business that is swiftly expanding, there are good prospects for promotion. Knowledge of Auto CAD is essential as is experience of using industry standard design software. Finally, you should be a team player with good interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in the built environment.
