Email Marketing Specialist
Salary: circa £47,000, 10% annual bonus potential, company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates and generous annual leave offering of 25 days, plus bank holidays.

Location: This is a hybrid working role with the expectation to travel to our Milton Keynes, MK17 8EW office 1-2 times each week or inline with business requirements.

Reporting to the Email Marketing Manager you will be responsible for orchestrating the execution and management of Royal Mail’s email marketing campaigns.

About the role
As Email Marketing Specialist you will collaborate closely with internal teams and creative agencies to develop, test, and optimise email content, aiming to maximise engagement and conversion rates.
You will
1. Email Campaign Execution: Coordinate, produce, test, and broadcast outbound marketing emails for Royal Mail, ensuring timely and effective communication.
2. Collaboration and Testing: Liaise with Campaign Managers and creative agencies to manage and test creative assets, ensuring data lists are accurately uploaded and validated.
3. Campaign Planning: Create and maintain the Commercial Email Campaign activity calendar, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that email and eCRM communications are strategically targeted to maximise returns. You’ll continually enhance email and eCRM activities through rigorous testing and optimisation.
4. Campaign Reporting: Maintain reporting mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of email campaigns, providing actionable insights.

Experience
5. Demonstrate expert knowledge in HTML, CSS, and AMPscript, enabling the creation of visually appealing and highly functional email templates that enhance user engagement and campaign effectiveness.
6. You will competently manage complex requirements from multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and deadlines to deliver the greatest business value.
7. Proven experience of email marketing and use of tools and techniques to maximise effectiveness.
Skills
8. HTML coding capabilities / can troubleshoot common issues.
9. Be familiar with mobile first / responsive design principles & CSS.
10. Proficient with HTML, CSS, and AMPscript – Email design technical skills.
11. Experience using SQL or similar tools to extract data.
