To support our continued growth we are looking for Fire stoppers to join our team in Walsall. Linear gap Seals, Penetrations, Fire boarding, Batt works, Collars, wraps and Compartmentation works, within the Social housing, MOD, Hospitals, Schools and Leisure settings on various contracts Recording all works undertaken with written and photographic evidence, to a professional and certification standard, using an appropriate fire industry application on an iPad, supplied by the company. Person specification Qualifications Essential: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery or other relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience Good knowledge of Passive fire and Regulations essential Desirable: CSCS Card Relevant experience Essential: Proven experience working as a Carpenter/Fire Stopping installer Experience of working under a certification scheme (FIRAS/B.M Trada) Experience in working in the social housing/health/high street sector Trade background experience Knowledge/Awareness of Health and Safety on site Aptitude, skills & abilities Essential: The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines High standards of workmanship and good attention to detail Ability to use own initiative Excellent communication skills Ability to diagnose/problem solve Personal attributes Essential: Proactive Adaptable Reliable All site workers will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
