The Admissions Unit is a 14 bedded Acute Psychiatric admission ward Mental Health assessment for all adults within RCT & Bridgend. Candidates should have experience within the field of adult mental health. Welsh Desirable (Level 3 or above in Speaking/Listening) This role is categorised as 'Welsh Desirable' in Speaking/Listening meaning that whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing candidates. Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to work with, and provide social, psychological and practical support to adults who have mental health needs. Key responsibilities include assisting the qualified nurse in providing individual care and treatment to patients and their families in a variety of different settings, including the community. You will also need to be enthusiastic about team working, able to receive instruction, whilst working closely with the qualified nursing staff in providing safe and effective care.
