New Directions Education are one of the preferred suppliers to schools within Rhondda Cynon Taff and we are extremely busy. We are looking to increase our bank of Information Communication & Technology Teachers. We have long and short-term, full time and part-time vacancies available. You will be based in a secondary school providing education for pupils aged between 11-18.
To be considered for a role with New Directions you must:
5. Have a genuine passion for teaching;
6. All subjects considered;
7. Be EWC registered;
8. Be able to teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4);
9. Have a clear DBS;
10. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) are welcome to apply for this role.
Job Specification
If you are a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or experienced Information Communication & Technology teacher, we offer roles which include delivering the curriculum in Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4) with a possible work at Key Stage 5 (KS5).
As an Information Communication & Technology teacher you’ll be expected to:
11. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
12. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
13. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
14. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
15. Maintain discipline
16. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
17. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
18. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
19. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
20. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
